The village of Brockenhurst in the county of Hampshire lies within the scenic New Forest National Park, surrounded by woodland and abundant with diverse flora, fauna and wildlife. This is a protected Heritage Area of the New Forest and Europe’s largest surviving area of ancient pasture woodland. Although there has been a settlement here since around the Bronze Age, growth came to the village in the 18th century and improved prosperity followed with the coming of the railways in the 19th century.
