Prescot is a small town located in Merseyside and is about 8 miles east of Liverpool. Prescot dates back to Anglo Saxon times and was home to the Prescot Playhosue in the 17th Century which was a Shakespearian theatre. During the 18th and 19th centuries Prescot was famous for its watch and clock making industry, but this notoriety ended in 1910 with the folding of the Lancashire Watch Company.
