Alford is a town near the English East cost, in the county of Lincolnshire. It neighbours the popular seaside resort of Skegness. This is a peaceful and relatively traditional town, best recognised by its five-sail Edwardian working windmill. The town is also known for its Manor House, which is said to be the largest thatched manor house in England and is open to the public from Tuesday to Friday of each week and on Sundays. The town offers very good amenities, including a good choice of holiday accommodation, a range of entertainment venues, and good shopping prospects, with excellent links to the major towns and cities of North East England.
Popular attractions in the wider area include the National Fishing Heritage Centre in Grimsby, the Sealife Centre and Pleasure Island Theme Park at Cleethorpes, Waltham Windmill, Lincoln Castle, Lincoln Cathedral, Thornton Abbey, and Natureland Seal Sanctuary, to name only a handful.
