Amble is a seaport town of the North Sea coast, in the English county of Northumberland. It is situated at the mouth of the River Coquet, overlooking Coquet Island. The town is now a popular holiday destination for its sandy beaches and harbour with marina for the use of yachts and other pleasure craft. The town offers a good choice of holiday accommodation, including a caravan park and several guest houses, and a wide variety of restaurants and entertainment venues. Attractions in the area include Coquet Island, which was once the home of Saint Cuthbert, and the castle at nearby Warkworth.
