Ardgay is a small village in the Scottish council area of Highland Scotland, which includes the former county of Ross and Cromarty. It on the north west shore of the Dornoch Firth, and at the entrance to Strathcarron — the valley of the River Carron. The village is served by the Ardgay railway station, and neighbours the hamlet of Kincardine, which is less than a mile to the south-east, along the coast.
Popular attractions in the area include Dunrobin Castle, the Hugh Miller Museum and Birthplace Cottage, Fort George, and the Nairn Museum, to name only a select few.
