Atherstone is a small town located in Warwickshire. Atherstone dates back to the Roman days and displays some fine examples of roman architecture and development. The town also appears in the Domesday book of 1086. One of the oldest pieces of architecture in the town is the St Mary’s Chapel which dates back to the early 12th Century. During the Tudor eras, Atherstone was a hub for cloth making which helped ensure its growth. It then developed into a market town with many merchants and traders encouraged to pitch there.
