Auchencairn is a pretty coastal village in the southern Scotland council area of Dumfries and Galloway. It is situated at the head of Auchencairn Bay, on the coast of the Solway Firth, which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is also within close proximity to the Galloway Forest Park, and Loch Ken, while neighbouring the historic towns Dalbeattie and Castle Douglas.
The village is known for its dramatic views, for which its residents are envied, and for its cheerful and welcoming community.
