Maesteg is a town in Glamorgan, in Wales, situated in the north of the Llynfi Valley, near Rhondda Cynon Taf. Maested and its neighbouring towns and villages were once an extensive coal mining community, and as such boasts excellent transport links and waterways, by which a visitor might explore the famous Vale of Glamorgan. The area is very popular for walkers, outdoor enthusiasts and for those seeking traditional British holidays with a distinctive Welsh character.
